An Idea of North

THE WANDERER. Success through smallness.
Perseverance brings good fortune to the wanderer.

I have a recurring dream. I'm traveling somewhere far from home, sometimes I'm on a bus, sometimes a river boat. I realize that, if I try, if I change course, I can get someplace much farther out, much farther away, much less known. I can only vaguely sense this place, like a dream, in my dream.

K2 is near the northern-most border of Kashmir, although it is the second highest mountain in the world, it is nevertheless the most difficult to climb because the last mile and a half consists of sheer vertical rock, with sub zero winds that are ferocious. It's a mountain that has had such a history of disasters that nobody tries to climb it any more, and this is why I decided to attempt it... LINK!
